John P. Kee will release “Throwback: An Evening With John P. Kee Pt. 1” on November 28th.
The gold-selling, eight-time Grammy nominated crown prince of gospel, John P. Kee, is bouncing back from two years of health challenges to release the first half of a 30+ track duology of his greatest songs.
This excitingly staggering project was recorded over the course of a year, per stops of over two dozen cities.
During each performance, Kee and his band musically reimagined some of his most memorable hits such as the traditional styled “Lily Of The Valley,” the Quiet Storm flavor of “Come In” and the exhilarating Top 30 radio single “Church Medley (feat. Tallie Rodgers),” with a new lyric video below.
The set closes with Kee’s newly created catchy “Play Yo Tambourine” which gives the church community its own nod to the 803Fresh “Boots On The Ground” line dance phenomenon.
Kee sits at the piano commanding the ecstatic audiences with the combined charisma of a circus ringmaster and a singing psychologist who knows the right lyrics to sing, lifting the spirits of his patients with just enough freshening and sanctified zeal to attract new and existing fans alike.
UB spoke ot the legendary John P. Kee in 2020 and he told us then, about some of his upcoming projects; “One cool thing about John P. Kee, he never stops working. So I’ve got records in the can. I’ve got a project called 10 women 10 victories, I started with Whitney Houston before she died, and I’m gonna finish that project.
I’ve got a choir project that we’re working on now actually.”
